Program Policies
Minimum Number of Participants*: We need at least five children registered in order to hold the class.  If we do not have five children registered by the day before class, the class will be cancelled.  We will contact you in the case of a cancellation.
Supervision:  Although we will have one educational staff member leading the program, we will need support from parents and other adults during the program to ensure things go smoothly and efficiently.  This is particularly important during station and exploration time.
Safety:  Safety is of utmost concern to us.  We will try to take every possible precaution for the safety of your child and the other children in attendance of the program.  However, as nature is an unpredictable entity, Bluff Lake Nature Center is not liable for harmed caused on its property.
Weather:  In the case of inclement weather, the program will be cancelled at Bluff Lake Staff’s discretion.  We will make every effort not to cancel, but in the event of a weather cancellation, we will try to let you know at least two hours prior to the program.  If bad weather occurs during the program, we will likely move under the Pavilion at the bottom of the stairs at Bluff Lake or cancel the program altogether.
