We have a parking lot! The biggest visible change that took place this month onsite was the build out of our parking lot. This parking lot features two school bus parking spaces, three accessible parking spaces, two EV charging spaces, and much more. We really took the community feedback we received about our old parking lot to heart and incorporated safe access to sidewalks from every parking space, clear direction on how to enter the site from the parking lot, enhanced buffer zones to protect program participants from vehicles, all while maintaining strong habitat quality within our rain gardens!

Inside the building drywall was installed; electrical, mechanical and plumbing work continued; and painting began! Doors were also installed at all entrances.

As we approach our move-in date, we will be communicating through social media and this newsletter to ensure the community knows when our new spaces are open for community use and when all of our many celebrations will be!

(5) A view into the Lobby from the west side of the building. The Lobby space will be used as a place for visitors to get information, rest, and still enjoy beautiful views of the site. Just outside these double doors will be an outdoor lobby seating area.

It's not too late to make your gift to this amazing project. Your support will help build more community spaces, improve accessibility, and leave a lasting impact for generations to come. And don't forget: We have campaign challenges for many of our Bluff Lake community, like Camp FamiliesBirdersBluff Lake Explorers (our homeschool and forest school kiddos), Alumni (past board, volunteers, and staff), as well as our board members and more!
