Mourning Dove
99% of their diet consists of seeds. They will occasionally eat snails.
They eat 12-20% of their body weight a day.
They peck or use their feet to push ground litter to the side. However, they don’t scratch or dig with their feet.
They can be found in the open, in scattered forests, or on the edge of a forest.
A pair of mourning doves will preen each other, and eventually grab each other's beaks and bob up and down in unison.
