Getting ready for a field trip to Bluff Lake? A Bluff Lake educator would love to come visit your classroom either virtually or in-person to give a short 30-45 minute presentation per class to prepare students for their trip to Bluff Lake. During this presentation, we will give an overview of our site and discuss what common animals can be found, introduce key terminology related to the trip theme, tell students about what they should expect and what to bring, and show off some of our various animal bones, fur, skin, etc.

Did your class have so much fun at Bluff Lake that we didn’t discuss our findings and make any conclusions at the end? At Bluff Lake, our field trips go by pretty fast and oftentimes, we don’t get a chance to wrap things up. During this session, a Bluff Lake educator will return to the classroom either virtually or in-person to answer any follow-up questions, finish the worksheet (if applicable), and allow students the space to formulate conclusions based on their observations and original hypotheses.
